Modern Day Brahman History Made

On August 9, 2003, at Greenville, Tennessee in the heart of East Tennessee Angus country, modern cattle history was made by a Brahman bull. It happened at the Green County District Fair where (9) nine beef breeds came together for one of the late summer Agriculture fairs. By being named Grand Champion of the Brahman Breed, he was then eligible for the competition with all beef breeds champions in the supreme division championship; where he went on to be named the 1st ever Brahman Bull named Supreme Champion Beef Bull.

The judge for the event was Professor Emeritus Ike Eller from Virginia Tech University; noted facility for performance tested Angus and Hereford cattle. Professor Eller is an internationally recognized beef cattle judge having judged not only in North America but also in Europe and in South Africa.

The bull making all the news was Doc Holiday Jr.766, owned by the Heart Bar Ranch in Kissimmee, Florida and Rocking S Ranch of Wauchula, Florida. He is a March 2001 calf packed with meat, performance, and balance. The judged complimented him on his muscle and his volume along with his back ties in so well to his loin and rump. An impressive individual to say the least. This bull had 5 major championships during the spring show circuit. He is campaigned and exhibited by Valley "B" Enterprises.
